I'm a full time geek for NASA, working at the [Ames Research Center|http://www.arc.nasa.gov] in the bay area. When not playing around with IT Security or attempting to defend my networks against the onslaught of the modern day marauders, I like to hang out with my family and parrots. On Wednesdays, I make meat helmets.

I'm also involved in [California's Task Force 3|http://catf3.org] through my participation in [NASA DART|http://dart.arc.nasa.gov]. I also volunteer for [Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue|http://mickaboo.org] as their lead geek and occasional ethicist.

On an amateur basis, I'm into philosophy. I wanted to major in it in college, but it turns out you need a serious degree to be a scientist (imagine that\!) so computer science it is\!
